Vulnerability Takes Courage

As I listened to the plovers in my paddock, I was reminded of the courage it takes to be vulnerable. They build their nests and lay their eggs out in the open, in the middle of the field. It makes them incredibly exposed and yet, it’s their way of giving life a chance.

Vulnerability carries risk. When we put ourselves out there, we open the door to uncertainty, judgement, or even failure. But vulnerability is also one of the most courageous acts we can choose.

Think about your own life. Where are you most vulnerable? Where are you willing to be vulnerable?

It may be in your work, your relationships, or in the way you share your ideas and hopes with the world. It’s rarely comfortable, yet leaning into those tender spaces often leads to our greatest growth.

When we stretch into vulnerability, we discover new strength, deeper connections, and a richer sense of being human.

So the invitation is this: don’t shy away from the places where you feel exposed. Notice them, honour them, and consider what might unfold if you gave yourself permission to grow through them.
