A Powerful Shift: From Manager to Leader at Connectability
I've just wrapped up Year 2 of Connectability’s Manager to Leader Shift, and I’ve struggled to put into words how amazing this group of leaders are.
Not only do they care about their clients sooo much (think person-centred disability services), they are also practical, hardworking, emotionally intelligent and fun!
Over the past 4 months these middle managers and supervisors have stretched, developed, collaborated and opened up in ways that surprised and delighted them as much as me!
It was also the biggest reminder of what I love about working as a leadership facilitator –
Seeing leaders grow their confidence, competence and credibility and
Working with executives who invest in their people – (bonus points!)

Clarity is kind! It’s ok to be direct and team members want clear communication.
Courageous conversations can encourage increased productivity and can actually boost productivity and culture.
How you show up as a leader matters. When you operate above the line you build trust and can help raise others up.
Self-advocacy and boundary setting is a healthy way to stay positive and grow your confidence.
Overall the cohort of 23 leaders experienced an 86%increase in their leadership skills and confidence - awesome!
